CDM Project Consortium Gathers in Athens for Key Co-Design Meeting

The Community Development Management (CDM) project partners convened in Athens, Greece, on June 3rd and 4th for a pivotal two-day co-design meeting. This milestone event brought together representatives from across Europe, taking a significant step toward turning research into practical, impactful action.

The primary focus of the meeting was to shape the CDM professional profile and lay the foundations for the project’s training curriculum. Designed in alignment with European Qualification Framework (EQF) Level 6 standards, the training aims to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge to effectively support individuals in managing and developing their careers.

Key highlights of the meeting included:

  • Reviewing research findings from partner countries and identifying common challenges and training needs

  • Defining the role and core competencies of the Community Development Manager

  • Drafting the structure of the CDM curriculum, including learning objectives and course modules

  • Discussing training delivery methods, including online and blended approaches

  • Planning next steps, including pilot programmes and innovation-driven hackathons

As the CDM project progresses, this meeting served as a catalyst for building a robust, inclusive training programme and preparing for the dynamic activities ahead.

Kick Off Meeting of the CDM Project Official Launch

CDM Project: Successful Kick Off Meeting in Bulgaria

On November 11-12, 2024, the Community Development Manager (CDM) project officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria. The meeting brought together key project partners from France, Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, and Greece to discuss the project’s objectives, timeline, and implementation process, setting the stage for future collaboration and action.

 

Key Objectives of the CDM Project

The CDM project aims to:

  • Raise awareness of the need for and potential of community-oriented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability strategies in companies.
  • Enhance innovative VET training and provide consistent knowledge on CSR linked to community development.
  • Design and pilot various forms of collaboration between companies and local communities, fostering socially sustainable initiatives that benefit the region. 

Key Discussions and Outcomes

The meeting began with an introduction from the project coordinator, who provided an overview of the CDM project’s objectives. This was followed by an in-depth discussion of the Work Packages (WPs) that will drive the project’s success:

  • WP2: Conducting a comprehensive needs assessment and developing the Community Development Hub (CD Hub).
  • WP3: Designing and implementing an innovative VET course to support community-oriented CSR strategies.
  • WP4: Establishing evaluation and validation processes to measure the project’s impact and ensure its success
  • WP5: Developing promotion and dissemination strategies to effectively communicate the project’s activities and results.

The key partner of the project are: University Paris I Pantheron Sorbonne (France), Project School (Italy), die Berater Unternehmens Beratungs Gesellschaft MBH (Austrian), CATRO (Bulgaria), AnciLab (Italy) and CARDET360 (Greece)
