MindGuard Complete Guide Now Available: A New Resource to Strengthen Mental Health Support in Higher Education

The MindGuard project is pleased to announce the publication of the MindGuard Complete Guide, now available in English on the project’s website. This comprehensive resource represents a significant step forward in addressing the growing mental health challenges within higher education institutions across Europe.

Designed for students, academic staff, and university administrators, the guide introduces an innovative, structured five-step framework aimed at fostering a sustainable culture of care. Central to this approach are 26 in-depth case scenarios, covering a wide spectrum of contemporary challenges—including anxiety, burnout, and digital overload—paired with practical Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) strategies.

A key feature of the guide is its integration of participatory Virtual Reality (VR) training, offering immersive, experience-based learning that enhances awareness, empathy, and early intervention capabilities. By combining advanced technology with a human-centred approach, the MindGuard Complete Guide supports institutions in moving beyond reactive crisis management toward proactive, inclusive mental health support systems.

Stakeholders across the higher education sector are invited to explore and download the guide via the MindGuard project website: https://mindguard-project.eu/results/

With this release, the MindGuard project continues its commitment to promoting healthier, more resilient academic environments across Europe.

EDUDATA: Enhancing Data Use, Governance and Informed Decision Making in Digital Education Across Europe

The EDUDATA project aims to strengthen the capacity of European education systems to make evidence-informed decisions in digital education by designing, piloting, and validating a multilevel governance model for digital education data. The project addresses the fragmented nature of educational data by proposing a shared governance structure that enables data collected at the school level to be used at national and EU levels.

The project’s specific objectives include:

  • Mapping and analyzing existing digital education data sources at EU and national levels to identify gaps and governance structures.
  • Engaging stakeholders, including policymakers and school leaders, through structured consultations to co-develop project outputs.
  • Designing the EDUDATA Model, a conceptual governance framework for ethical and effective data use.
  • Piloting and validating the model in diverse school settings to assess its usability and impact on decision-making.
  • Developing an interactive, multilingual online version of the model to ensure broad accessibility.

The official website of the project will be soon available.

3aDitional Project Holds Three-Day Trainers’ Meeting in Alessandria, Italy

The 3aDitional project consortium convened in Alessandria, Italy, from 2 to 4 February for a three-day transnational meeting focused on preparing the upcoming pilot training activities and reviewing overall project progress.

The meeting brought together project partners and trainers with the primary objective of ensuring that all trainers are fully familiarised with the 3aDitional training contents in additive manufacturing (3D printing). This preparatory work is essential to guarantee the successful implementation of the pilot action foreseen under Work Package 4 (WP4).

3aDitional aims to strengthen skills in additive manufacturing within the footwear, toy, and jewellery sectors—industries largely composed of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that often face limited access to advanced technologies and specialised training opportunities.

In addition to the train-the-trainers sessions, consortium members reviewed all ongoing project tasks, assessed progress against planned milestones, and discussed the next steps for the coming project phase. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for alignment among partners and reinforced the consortium’s shared commitment to delivering high-quality, sector-relevant training solutions.

The outcomes of the Alessandria meeting mark an important step forward in the implementation of 3aDitional and in supporting SMEs in adopting innovative additive manufacturing technologies.

MindGuard Project Hosts Transnational Partner Meeting in Dublin

The consortium of the MindGuard Project held its Transnational Partner Meeting on 24–25 November 2025, hosted by University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland. Partners convened both in person at the UCD Village Building and online via Zoom, engaging in two days of structured dialogue and collaborative planning.

The programme opened with a welcome session and a guided campus tour, after which discussions turned to core project activities. Under WP1, partners reviewed project management updates, financial compliance, and risk mitigation measures. Work under WP2 continued with an examination of draft sections of the Transnational Research Report, leading to agreement on the steps required for its finalisation.

In the afternoon, attention shifted to WP3, where UNIC led exchanges on content guidelines for the upcoming training programme and the organisation of pilot activities planned for 2026. A significant portion of the meeting focused on WP4: UCD and all partners presented progress on the development of VR scenarios for the project’s innovative training platform, shared feedback, and identified outstanding tasks before deployment.

The second day began with UCD showcasing a first VR scenario and gathering partner feedback to guide further refinement. The agenda then moved to dissemination strategy, KPIs, and sustainability measures under WP5, steered by All Digital and CARDET360.

The meeting concluded with a summary of agreed actions, an open discussion on next steps, and closing remarks. Participants were afterwards invited to join an optional tour of Dublin, marking the end of a productive and forward-looking gathering.

3D Training to Promote Traditional Manufacturing Sectors – Plus (3aDitional+)

The 3aDitional project aims to provide training in additive manufacturing (3D printing) for the footwear, toy, and jewellery sectors, which are predominantly made up of small and medium-sized enterprises with limited access to advanced technology. With an aging and sometimes undertrained workforce, these industries face challenges in adopting modern prototyping techniques. The project seeks to bridge the generational gap by integrating experienced traditional workers into the digital manufacturing landscape, promoting innovation, sustainability, and business modernization through targeted training programs.

MindGuard Project Launches to Enhance Mental Health Support in European Universities

On February 19–20, 2025, the University of Nicosia (UNIC) and the Institute of Development N. Charalambous (IoD) co-hosted the inaugural MindGuard kick-off meeting, marking the launch of a pioneering Erasmus+ initiative aimed at strengthening mental health awareness, prevention, and first aid across higher education institutions in Europe.

This two-day transnational partner meeting brought together experts from six leading European organizations to lay the foundation for the project’s development.
