CDM Project: Successful Kick Off Meeting in Bulgaria

On November 11-12, 2024, the Community Development Manager (CDM) project officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria. The meeting brought together key project partners from France, Italy, Austria, Bulgaria, and Greece to discuss the project’s objectives, timeline, and implementation process, setting the stage for future collaboration and action.
Key Objectives of the CDM Project
The CDM project aims to:
- Raise awareness of the need for and potential of community-oriented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability strategies in companies.
- Enhance innovative VET training and provide consistent knowledge on CSR linked to community development.
- Design and pilot various forms of collaboration between companies and local communities, fostering socially sustainable initiatives that benefit the region.
Key Discussions and Outcomes
The meeting began with an introduction from the project coordinator, who provided an overview of the CDM project’s objectives. This was followed by an in-depth discussion of the Work Packages (WPs) that will drive the project’s success:
- WP2: Conducting a comprehensive needs assessment and developing the Community Development Hub (CD Hub).
- WP3: Designing and implementing an innovative VET course to support community-oriented CSR strategies.
- WP4: Establishing evaluation and validation processes to measure the project’s impact and ensure its success
- WP5: Developing promotion and dissemination strategies to effectively communicate the project’s activities and results.
