  1. About CARDET360

    CARDET360 is an independent social innovation organization based in Greece. We collaborate with local and international organizations, public and private bodies, and across diverse disciplines in designing solutions for local and global challenges. Our aspiration is to be one of the leading research institutes in the Euro-Mediterranean region in the areas of education, sustainable development, social justice and technology-empowered solutions.

  2. Our Privacy Commitment

    CARDET360 complies with all applicable privacy laws in each European Union (EU) country, including the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). We strictly abide by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and repealing Directive 95/46/EC. This Privacy Policy governs how we collect and process personal data.

    “Personal Data” is any information relating to an identifiable natural person. “Sensitive Personal Data” includes racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data, health, or sexual orientation.

    By engaging in a CARDET360 project or study, you agree to the processing of your personal data as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

  3. What Data We Collect and Process

    As part of our activities, we process the following information you may share with us:

    • Directly identifying data: Full name, home address, personal email address.
    • Demographic data: Age, gender, marital status, occupation, income range.
    • Your behaviors and preferences: Data on how and why you take certain actions or make choices.
    • Content or material: Photos, videos, or other media you submit.
    • Social media profile info: If you join through platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
    • Sensitive Personal Data: Health, ethnicity, religion, biometric data, etc., only if voluntarily disclosed.
    • Voice/appearance: For video/audio recordings during interviews or focus groups.

    • To fulfill contractual obligations for a project, study, or engagement.
    • We anonymize responses for reporting and research to ensure no one is identifiable.
    • Used for quality assurance, audits, and developing services/products.
    • To contact you through methods you provided: phone, email, SMS, or mail.
    • We may use de-identified data for academic or historical research purposes.

    • Propose restrictions or request data portability.

  7. About Minors (Children)

    We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 18. If a project includes children, data is only collected with explicit parental or guardian consent. All protections in this notice apply to such data.

  8. Sharing Personal Information Outside the European Union

    We may transfer data to third-party suppliers outside the EU. These transfers are protected by contractual agreements that include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

  9. Data Security and Retention

    We retain data as long as necessary and in accordance with applicable law. When no longer active, we keep demographic and behavioral data separate from identifying data. Identifiers are removed when no longer needed for audit, legal, or fraud prevention purposes.
